From former correctional facility, to thriving, one-of-a-kind arts community, the Workhouse has a history rich with significant and unforgettable milestones. The Lorton Arts Foundation has established in the Workhouse the region's most distinctive cultural arts center.
Don't miss artist demonstrations on the Quad, a Kid Zone Open House and the chance to visit with more than 100 studio artists as they work in their studios. In addition, the Workhouse will present a very special musical performance from legendary musician, Chuck Brown! ABOUT CHUCK BROWN
Affectionately known as the Godfather of Go Go, Chuck Brown created the Go Go sound. He combined Latin beats, African call and response chants and American Jazz, throwing in a touch of soul with a continuous drumbeat.
