The Roanoke County Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism presents our fourth annual “Summer Stock Dinner Theatre”. A memorable Sunday afternoon awaits you as you enjoy a true Shakespeare classic. Sit back and enjoy dinner, a great performance and a fabulous experience under the stars!
Join us this summer for one very special performance of Taming of the Shrew on Sunday, June 30th from 3pm-6pm at AmRhein’s Wine Cellars located at 9243 Patterson Drive, Bent Mountain, VA 24059.
The evening consists of the performance plus a catered Elizabethan meal for $20 per person. You will have your choice of entrée, either Chicken Pie or Salmon, and it will be accompanied by Compound Sallet (salad) and Creamy Rice Pudding dotted with dates and currants. Reservations for dinner and the show must be made by Monday, June 24.
If you prefer to bring your own picnic dinner, admission to the show only is $8/person if you preregister by Monday, June 24. Show only tickets will also be sold day of the show for $10/each CASH ONLY. Children under five years old are admitted free. Additional beverages and wine will be available at AmRhein’s Wine Cellars, however no outside beverages will be allowed at this venue.
The Elizabethan meal will be served from 3pm–4pm and the performance will begin at 4pm outdoors under a lovely afternoon sky. Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. The performance is presented by the Open Air Shakespeare Performers.
