Les Yeux du Monde is pleased to present Anne Chesnut: Art.i.facts from 1 March - 7 April. There will be a preview on Thursday, February 28 from 5-7pm with remarks by the artist at 6 p.m.and an opening reception on Friday March 8 from 5:30-7:30. There will also be a lunch with the artist on on Wednesday March 20 at noon (reservations required, $12).
This exhibition will show Chesnut's latest digital prints, in which she combines traditional drawing and printmaking techniques with imagery she has created on the computer. Her subjects range from seemingly simple symbols, garden tools and emoticons to constellations,samplers and quilts, often with her own stitching added. Chesnut, who has an MFA from Yale, has exhibited widely and is included in many private and corporate collections, most recently in the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center.
The gallery is open Thursday-Sunday from 1:00-5:00 pm. and by appointment.
