The piece is composed of 18 unique works of art, by 16 artists to produce an assemblage of individual 12" X 12" canvasses. The work encompasses many mediums including: fused glass, encaustic, scratchboard, printmaking, Chinese watercolor, colored pencil, watercolor on canvas, acrylic, oil and mixed media. Individual parts are realistic, abstract and collaged.
Every artist in Building W-5 contributed to this work of art. The "Fabs in Five" describe themselves as "Friendly, Fabulous, Fine artists of Five." The artists are: Songmi Park, HsiMei Yates, Allen Levy, Tuula Ross, Robin Rosner, Marni Maree, Traci Oberle, Trish Vermilion, Sherry Smith, Denise Phalon, Karen Ching, Norma Praff, Nancy Hannans, Julia Dzikiewicz, Maureen Wolford, and Eileen Olson.
The work is available for $5000, in accordance with the "5" theme. Proceeds from the sale will fund improvements to Building W-5, as well as building events and exhibitions.
