Continuing a strong history of collaboration among community groups in Great Falls, VA, Great Falls Studios (GFS) artists will be exhibiting their art at the Amadeus Orchestra’s season debut on Sunday September 29 at St. Luke Church, 7001 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA 22101.
The Amadeus Orchestra with Steven Honigberg, cello, plans to perform scores from Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky and Schubert beginning at 4 PM. The exhibit opens and a reception with the musicians and artists follows at approximately 6 PM.
GFS member artist, Lesley Hackman, who is organizing the afternoon of arts and whose husband, Timothy, serves on the board of Amadeus Concerts, reminds us “… music feeds the soul and art nourishes our spirit. [This afternoon] is a rare opportunity for everyone in our community to interrupt their busy lives for a time of sheer delight and to discover the gifts we have in both Amadeus and GFS.”
