Join local radio personality Dwight Davis for a wonderful evening learning about the delightful form of music known as chamber music! Discover why this music can be so captivating – at times exciting, intimate, or humorous, but always entertaining, as Dwight draws on his forty years of experience in the classical music business. This class is comprised of two parts. During the first session, Dwight will explain the basics of what makes chamber music special. As part of this lecture, locally-renowned cellist Janet Kriner will demonstrate the cello, along with Virginia Symphony musicians Stacey Migliozzi (viola) and Kirsty Green (violin). The second session will be a complimentary ticket (normally a $25 value) to an evening with the Feldman Chamber Music Society held at our very own Saint Patrick Catholic School Fine Arts Theatre (your choice of either 2/23 or 3/16). The evening begins with hors d’oeuvres and a talk by Dwight on the music of the evening, followed by a performance by internationally-acclaimed musicians from either the Hermes String Quartet or the Vienna Piano Trio. The evening finishes on a high note with the chance to meet the performers after the concert! This learning session is being generously sponsored by The Feldman Chamber Music Society, www.feldmanchambermusic.org
