Explore the cultural history of a vibrant African American neighborhood which was first settled by Jewish and German tradespeople in the early 1900s. Once called Sheep Hill, this area has seen many changes and now is experiencing a conversion of industrial sites. The walk passes examples of Greek Revival, Italianate and Queen Anne style architecture. Meet near the flagpole at Maggie Walker Governor's School, 1000 North Lombardy Street (at West Leigh Street).
