Art After 5 Movie Series

“Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child,” a 2010 documentary centering on a rare interview with the artist, who died of an overdose at the age of 27 in 1988. Director Tamra Davis, a friend of Basquiat, interviewed contemporaries Julian Schnabel, Kenny Scharf, Fab 5 Freddy and more to create this definitive look at his life and work. The event will feature poetry from local writers from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by the screening at 7 p.m. Popcorn is free and wine will be available for purchase beginning at 6:30 p.m.
