We’re celebrating our 10th season opening with a Robert Winne exhibit ,4 solo shows by Richmond artists and the monthly juried All Media Show. Join us on September 27, 7-10 p.m. for the opening reception, live music and meet the artists. The exhibits continue through October 20, 2013. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is free.

IN THE EVENING by Robert Winne
Robert has returned to the Richmond area after having lived and worked in Germany and Afghanistan for the past five years. Working as a civilian for the Department of the Army, he was responsible for hundreds of construction projects in support of the military. During his time Overseas, Robert continued to paint, and he set-up a studio in his apartment in Germany as well as in a small cramped space in his 8”x16” trailer that he called home during his 18-month deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan. This is Robert’s first show since his return and many of the paintings are a result of his extensive travels and experiences throughout Europe and the Middle East. The works in this show are primarily Mixed Media and Encaustic. The exhibit will be in the Jane Sandelin Gallery.
NEW WORKS by Charles Arnold
Painter - Charles Arnold obtained his BFA from RPI (VCU). He worked in an ad agency as an art director/creative director for more than twenty years before leaving to form a freelance illustration business. He maintained a love of painting, drawing and photography and has exhibited in many shows, won many awards and prizes. His work hangs in private, corporate and institutional collections. The exhibit will be in the Centre Gallery, East.

t. k. harris will exhibit sculpture and paintings in the Centre Gallery, West.
ROLLING DOWN THE RIVER by Leslie Corbitt
Leslie Corbitt will exhibit in the Corner Gallery.
LULU ELENES RECENT WORK
Elenes has an interesting method for photography. She exposes film to different materials such as medicine, food, coffee, and prints the effect these items have on the photograph. Her show deals with medical processes and recovery. The exhibit will be in the Skylight Gallery.
SEPTEMBER 2013 ALL MEDIA ART SHOW
This exhibit is a focal point of all Art Works’ openings. It is a juried show with cash prizes and is open to all artists and all mediums. Call for Entries is on September 20th and 21st. The juror is Marjorie Perrin.
