Free and open to the public
Come out with the entire family and enjoy a variety of remarkable urban gardens and fun activities at the 70th annual West Avenue Garden Tour. This event showcases award-winning gardens featuring a wide variety of themes as well as activities for the kids. The walled rear gardens, tree boxes, and tiny street-front gardens are judged the day before in categories including Best Container Garden, Best Small Garden and Best Tree Box. The winners sport awards and colorful flags the day of the tour. It is an inspiring spring event, sending visitors home with creative ideas for their own gardens.
The Garden Tour activities begin on Sunday, April 25 at 12:00 with a children’s parade, magician, entertainment, and refreshments. In order to accommodate the children’s entertainment and parade, the 1100 block of West Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic during the tour. The event is free and open to the public.
