As part of the Merger of Art and Design..MAD Artist! Program at the Workhouse, members of the Association of Interior Design Professionals (AIDP) worked with Workhouse Studio Artists to create room vignettes featuring the artists' work. These studio artists were designated as MAD Artists! of the Month. AIDP members also chose from among Workhouse Associate Artists a monthly Designer's Choice work. In an end of the year MAD Artist! collective exhibition, visitors to the gallery voted for the People's Choice from among the featured artists.
Joyce's Artist Statement: I always wanted to be an artist, but I got a very late start. So I just looked at the world as paintings - lovely but undone. Now of course there's "so little time, so many paintings", and though I may never get caught up, it's wonderful trying!
