Located on the banks of the Potomac River in Old Town Alexandria, Torpedo Factory Art Center was a naval munitions factory before it was converted into an art center. Two large hangars display thousands of aviation and space artifacts, including a Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, a Concorde, and the Space Shuttle Discovery. Researchers will find a majority of the archives collection in the Udvar-Hazy Center reading room.
