Edible Istria

Thank you for this article. You introduced me to an aspect about Istria that I didn't know, namely truffles. I am a Virginian living in Budapest, Hungary, and have been traveling to Istria since 2004. We go to Rovinj to stay and visit with family friends. While we have always enjoyed the seafood and wine, I never got to truffles. This is because our friends are fishermen, and the fresh catch of the day is to be had every day. Thanks for the tip, because this time I purposely tried a few truffle dishes, and fell wildly in love spinach ravioli smothered in a cheese sauce topped with truffles. Anyway, i just wanted to comment that you wrote a great story about Istria but completely omitted the coast. I believe you should do a follow-up on the coast, because it is gorgeous, fun, and full of surprises.
