Tromblow'in starts at 9 am with a group warmup and rehearsal of the mass trombone choir. Recitals and workshops with a classical music emphasis begin at 10:30 - noon, and feature clinic performances by Nathan Dishman (Charlottesville Symphony), Sam Woodhead (US Army Band) and Matt Guilford. From 12-1:30 p.m., participants will enjoy vendor displays including testing new trombones. The afternoon session from 1:30-3:30 is devoted to a jazz emphasis and features clinics and performances by Antonio Garcia of VCU and the 804 jazz Bones. Mr. Jefferson's Bones and the JMU Trombone Association are the hosts. A Grand Concert from 4-6 p.m. features many of the days performers and the mass trombone choir made up of all attendees -- last year's choir was 76 players strong!
