Corda Nova Baroque presents Continental Confections: Music of 17th century France and Germany. The dynamic young trio performs works by Couperin, Erlebach, Sainte-Colombe, and others on authentic instruments. Corda Nova offers audiences the opportunity to hear Baroque composers’ music as it was originally intended, for the courts and intimate chambers of kings and queens.
Corda Nova Baroque is an early music ensemble specializing in, but not limited to, Renaissance and Baroque music of the 17th and 18th centuries. The idea for the group came from Early Music America’s 2012 Baroque Performance Competition and includes Edmond Chan (baroque violin), Amy Domingues (viola da gamba & baroque cello), and Anthony Harvey (theorbo/baroque lute).
This event is part of our Spring Classical Music Series.
