On Friday, March 14, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., Hope House Foundation in conjunction with BOB-FM and sponsor Southern Bank will present 2014’s Shamrockin’ In Ghent. This block party is free and open to the public and will take place on Colley Avenue in Norfolk’s historic Ghent district between Shirley and Gates Avenues. The event will benefit Hope House Foundation and will include musical performances by The Newport News Police Pipes and Drums, Glasgow Kiss, and The Deloreans.
This is the 20th annual Shamrockin’ in Ghent (previously called the Greening of Ghent). In addition to live music, we will be selling various beverages and Belmont House of Smoke will be on hand selling food.
Proceeds from this event benefit Hope House Foundation. Hope House Foundation is a local non-profit and is the only organization in Virginia that supports adults with developmental disabilities exclusively in their own homes. Learn more about Hope House at Hope-House.org or by calling 757-625-6161.
