Les Yeux du Monde will present Selections 2015, a group show with work by artists Pam Black, Peyton Hurt Millikan, Ann Lyne, David Summers, Theo van Groll, and Sanjay Vora from 6 February - 8 March 2015. The show will feature Pam Black’s equine finger paintings, Peyton Hurt Millikan’s pen and ink drawings of local hotspots and Ann Lyne's effusive floral and equestrian scenes alongside David Summers’ latest still life paintings of light on fruits and “commodity ghosts”, Theo van Groll’s painted constructions and California artist's Sanjay Vora's veiled imagery in oil, acrylic and gel medium. These artists are professors of art (Black), art history (Summers) or architecture (Van Groll) at the University of Viriginia or former students of these programs, in the case of Millikan and Vora. Lyne studied at VCU in the late 1950s and has shown extensively since that time.
The opening reception will run from 4:30 – 7:30 on Friday, 6 February. There will also be a lunch with artists on Wednesday, 25 February at noon. Reservations are required ($15, free for Collectors Club).
The gallery is located at 841 Wolf Trap Road, Charlottesville, and is open Thursday to Sunday from 1 – 5 and by appointment. Please visit our website, www.LesYeuxduMonde.com or call 434-973-5566 for more information.
