Explore portraiture, painting and preservation in the colonial American South in this special two-day event. June 19th features a courtyard reception and presentation at Historic Christ Church in Weems with retired Colonial Williamsburg curator Carolyn Weekley on "Painters in the Colonial South." The next day join a bus trip to the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum to see "Painters and Paintings in the Early American South" and "A Rich and Varied Culture: Material World of the Early South" exhibitions along with a behind-the-scenes tour of Colonial Williamsburg's acclaimed conservation labs. Tickets are limited.
