PFAC’s second Day of the Dead will celebrate the traditional Latino holiday marking remembrance of loved ones. CNU Professor Liz Moran will present a history of the holiday’s artistic traditions, while former Virginia Poet Laureate Carolyn Kreiter-Foronda will read poems inspired by the holiday and will guide a poetry workshop. Day of the Dead-themed face painting will be offered by A Mile of Smiles and families can decorate their own clay skulls, contribute to a community ofrenda and create sidewalk chalk tributes. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Free.
