The Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce (VPCC) and Thomas Nelson Community College are pleased to announce the second Peninsula Executive Leadership Forum (PELF) of 2015 will feature Karen Jackson on Tuesday, May 12 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Chamber offices in Hampton.
Jackson currently serves as the Secretary of Technology for the Commonwealth. Prior to her appointment, she served as the Commonwealth’s Deputy Secretary of Technology and Vice President of Broadband Programs for the Center for Innovative Technology.
In her role, Jackson serves as a senior advisor to the Governor on technology matters including innovation, modeling and simulation, telecommunications, cybersecurity and unmanned aerial systems.
She is also responsible for overseeing the Commonwealth’s IT infrastructure.
Jackson also serves as the Virginia lead for the Mid-Atlantic Aviation Partnership (MAAP), was named to Government Technology’s 2010 list of the top 25 Doers, Dreamers, and Drivers and holds a bachelor’s of science in business management from Christopher Newport University and a master’s of business administration from the College of William and Mary.
The mission of both the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and Thomas Nelson Community College, who partner to present the annual programming, is to foster dialogue that inspires and motivates excellence in business leadership.

The cost to attend the forum is $25 and includes a light breakfast. Registration will open at 7:30 a.m. and the presentation will begin promptly at 8:15 a.m.
The presentation will be held at the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce offices, located in Lakefront Plaza at 21 Enterprise Parkway, Suite 100 in Hampton, Va.
