These two musical titans from the Big Easy pay homage to the great music of their city in an extraordinary evening of jazz. The legendary jazz and New Orleans R&B pianist Allen Toussaint recently received the highly prestigious National Medal of Arts by President Obama in recognition of his seminal influence on New Orleans music. Joining Toussaint, from the heart of the French Quarter comes the one-and-only Preservation Hall Jazz Band, which has invigorated traditional New Orleans jazz through performances at Preservation Hall, extensive tours and recordings, and its collaborations with artists from a diversity of musical genres.
