The Military Affairs Council of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce (VPCC), in collaboration with the Military Family Support Center Employment Programs, is delighted to announce it will present its annual Military Job Fair July 22.
The Military Job Fair, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., is open and free to all active-duty, retired military, reservists, Department of Defense civilians, dependents and veterans.
It will be held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center, located at 1610 Coliseum Drive in Hampton, Va.
For more than 30 years, the event has regularly included dozens of companies from all over the country, as well hundreds of job seekers from every branch of the military and various federal agencies.
The VPCC’s Military Affairs Council (MAC) serves as a bridge between local businesses and the military communities. The MAC addresses current issues, including legislative support of initiatives that benefit service members and their families, providing programs that help transitioning military and federal employees to find local jobs, and developing methods through which both military and civilian leaders might work cooperatively in meeting shared objectives.
The Military Job Fair’s mission is to help employ those who have served, matching their skills with companies who can utilize them.
For the purpose of this event, the VPCC asks that job seekers do not bring children and that all attendees dress in professional business attire.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for the event. Exhibitor pricing and volunteer opportunities are also available.
The fees for employers to set up a booth include:
• VPCC Members - $300
• Non-Profit VPCC Members - $225
• Non-Members - $350
• Non-Profit Non-Members - $275
• Additional lunch tickets - $20
• Electric Add On Support For Booths- $70
