Two of America’s greatest inventions – jazz and aviation – come together in this captivating multimedia performance. Enjoy a stunning visual experience of both innovations featuring exuberant dance, an insightful narrative, and the swinging sounds of big band music performed by our local jazz powerhouse! At the dawn of the 20th century, two great Americans – Louis Armstrong and Charles Lindbergh – were born one year apart. Their lives took them in very different directions, but each rode a wave of new American energy that changed the world and inspired generations that followed. Artistic Director and alto sax virtuoso Jim Carroll leads this group of outstanding jazz musicians from the greater D.C. metro area on this unique journey celebrating two truly American innovations.
