On Saturday, May 24th Quirk Gallery and partnering businesses in the Arts & Culture District will present the 1995 film, "Clueless," written and directed by Amy Heckerling. Starring Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, Brittany Murphy, Paul Rudd and others in some of their breakout roles, "Clueless" played a major role in shaping the pop culture of the time has left it's indelible mark on the fashion, music, and catch phrases ("As if!" "Whatever!") we've come to asscoiate with the 90s.
Event attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets. Doors will open at 7:00 pm and the movie will be shown at sundown. Snacks and refreshments will be provided by 1708 Gallery. A "Clueless"-themed costume contest will have prizes donated by Verdalina and Backstage will provide the projection equipment. This event will be held in the parking lot adjacent to Quirk Gallery at 311 West Broad Street. In the case of inclement weather, the movie will be shown indoors at Quirk.
This free event is held on the fourth Saturday of each month through October and continues next month with a double feature of "Breakfast at Tiffanys" and "The Seven Year Itch."
