Breakfast and the morning paper, by Janice Breeden
Jancie Breeden's first solo exhibit at the glave kocen gallery is a long time coming. Her intimate interiors have always given our walls the measles (red dots) and rightly so. The unique scale (6" x 6") and mounting (canvas wrapped panel adhered on top of a solid color painted canvas) endears the viewer to the cozy scene. Janice hails from Louisa County and exhibits internationally as well as throughout the states. In her own words Janice describes the feel of her work by "feeling the presence of people but furniture and possessions become the personality." Somehow between teaching art at Louisa County High School and Curating for UVA's Cancer Center, Janice has produced 28 works for this exhibition.
