In partnership with the Valentine Richmond History Center, Henrico County is offering a bus tour that covers an “Overview of Henrico’s History.” From the founding of Henricus in 1611 and its later establishment as one of the eight original shires in 1634, Henrico County has played a prominent role in America’s history. With stops at several well-known landmarks, this tour tells the story of Henrico’s development from an early English settlement to the vibrant community it is today.
