Enjoy this annual day of exciting and traditional harvest time festivities as we commemorate Henrico County’s 400th Anniversary. The festival will feature many hands-on activities and demonstrations depicting typical homemaking and farming tasks of the era. Some of these exciting activities include cider making, candle dipping, bee keeping, cornhusking, corn shelling, blacksmithing, woodworking, and a natural dye demonstration. Children will enjoy gourd decorating and cornhusk doll making, as well as the Great Pumpkin Patch of Meadow Farm (for ages 3-12). Other highlights include pony rides, a petting zoo, and tethered hot air balloon rides. Performances by A Good Natured Riot and the Barbara Martin Band will be featured on the main stage. Information: Jeannie Murray, 501-5121.
