This evening will be a fantastic celebration of the life of Dr. Ralph Stanley, performing the music he’s made famous. His is a distinctly American art form, which blends rural-based lyrics with fluid, jazz-like instrumental improvisations: music that will warm the hearts and stir the souls of bluegrass fans young and old. This patriarch of bluegrass has spent most of his 87 years honoring this uniquely American genre, and preserving it for generations to come. An influence for countless musicians through the years, this living legend is a Grand Ol’ Opry inductee and winner of three Grammy Awards.
