Chef: Cooking School Staff
The Cooking School is celebrating the exuberant and eccentric woman who introduced America French cooking. Julia Child’s voice still rings in our ears today and we remember her as the cult figure of French-American cookery. Julia Child was born on August 15, 1912 in Pasadena, California, and when her husband Paul was assigned to the U.S. Information Agency at the American Embassy in Paris, Julia enrolled in Le Cordon Bleu Cooking School. There she befriended her French colleagues, Simone Beck and Louisette Bertholle, who would later become her partners in the celebrated cookbook, “Mastering the Art of French Cooking.” Learn to cook classic Child recipes with help from the Cooking School Staff.
