City of Fairfax Film Festival for the Arts - ArtScreen
ArtScreen is an exciting two-day weekend festival of films about the arts and artists! It will include a series of free programs to include an interactive learning component with each screening and hands-on experimental learning activities for children. ArtScreen will take place at the Cinema Arts Movie Theater on November 5th and the Sherwood Community Center on November 6th.

Saturday, November 5 - Cinema Arts Film Theatre at Fair City Mall
There will be a talk about the film and a Q&A session following the screening.
10:00 AM - 'Round Midnight - In 'Round Midnight, real-life jazz legend Dexter Gordon brilliantly portrays the fictional tenor sax player Dale Turner, a musician slowly losing the battle with alcoholism, estranged from his family, and hanging on by a thread in the 1950's New York jazz world.
1:15 PM - The Red Shoes - 1948 starring Moira Shearer, a young ballet dancer is torn between the man she loves and her pursuit to become a prima ballerina.
4:15 PM - Superstar: The Life and Times of Andy Warhol - A look at the life, work, and impact of Andy Warhol (1928-1987), pop icon and artist, from his childhood in Pittsburgh to his death after a botched surgery. Warhol coined the word "superstar," became one, and changed the way the culture looks at and understands celebrity.

2:00 PM - Linnea in Monet’s Garden - Here she comes, right from the pages of the bestselling book Linnea in Monet's Garden. The charming tale of a little girl's love affair with Impressionist Claude Monet's paintings is now brought to life in full animation. Join Linnea and her friend Mr. Bloom as they set off to Paris, and then to Monet's garden in Giverny.
