Sunday, June 26 - Time TBD
It’s been 40 years of visits from the Israeli Friendship Caravan and the interest from our community still remains. The Caravan is a group of 10 high school aged Israeli students who bring a little bit of Israeli culture to our community. Through their Israeli song and dance, they deliver an important message of peace to all. As always, the Israeli Scouts will interact with our youth at Camp Ganim, Camp Hilbert and with our Specialty Camps. They will also perform for other organizations throughout the Richmond community during their stay.
While in Richmond, the Israeli Scouts stay in homes with members of our community. If you are interested in hosting an Israeli Scout this year, please contact Leslie McGuigan at 545-8659 or lmcguigan@weinsteinjcc.org for
more information.
The Israeli Scouts Friendship Caravan is brought to the Richmond Jewish Community each year through the support of the Eddie Lapkin Israeli Scouts Fund through the Richmond Jewish Foundation, the Weinstein JCC and individual and corporate donations. If you are interested in supporting the Israeli Scouts Caravan, please contact Margret O’Keefe, Development Director, at 545-8609 or mokeefe@weinsteinjcc.org
