Alonzo King showcases his illustrious corps of dancers in their first performance at the Center for the Arts. This revered choreographer and his celebrated contemporary ballet company, LINES Ballet, use principles of science to further develop the language of movement. Among his many awards, he was honored with the Jacob’s Pillow Creativity Award for moving ballet in a very 21st-century direction. Collaborating with noted composers, musicians, and visual artists, King creates work that imbues classical ballet with a diverse set of deeply rooted cultural traditions and is renowned for its profound sense of shared humanity.
