For all ages. The year 2013 marks the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington, two important anniversaries in the history of African Americans and the United States. Please join us for an afternoon of reflection, musical selections by the One Voice Chorus, an inspirational portrayal of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, and highlighted accomplishments of the legendary African-American educator, Miss Virginia Estelle Randolph, performed by local talents Tony Cosby and Vivian Graves. Guests are invited afterwards to accompany “Miss Randolph” on a tour of the Virginia Randolph Museum, the National Register Landmark dedicated in her memory. Information: Heather Grubb, 501-5808.
