Mabuhay! Welcome! Celebrate the 10th Annual Filipino Festival at Henrico’s Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Virginia’s largest Filipino Festival rolls into town with over 6,000 lumpias, 6,000 barbecue kebobs, 4,000 empanadas, 2,000 turons, and a million smiles! Enjoy these and other authentic hallmark dishes such as adobo, pancit, lechon, and more. Quench your thirst with San Miguel island beer, a favorite Virginia wine, or the king of desserts, “halo-halo.” The Festival schedule is full of lively and colorful entertainment – both traditional and contemporary. Live dance bands, hands-on-crafts and games for the children, specialty vendors, health screenings, and more. Plenty of popular line-dancing throughout the Festival. FREE ADMISSION. Run or walk the 5K Race ‘N Roll for muscular dystrophy. All race participants receive free lumpias plus other goodies. The Filipino Festival is from 5-10pm on Friday, August 7, and from 10am-10pm on Saturday, August 8. Proceeds support various local community programs including the Richmond Chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness, the Aileen Colorado Fund for Muscular Dystrophy, disaster relief through the Red Cross and more.
