  • electric type writer

I would love to find an electric type writer in good condition. My father is ninety since he once was a very successful editor I thought his long term memory would translate well to a machine he used so much in his profession. The computer just doesn't trigger those memories. Could someone please tell me where I could find a decent electric type writer for my Dad?

    Thank you so much....

  • Hermes 3000

My10 year old is thoroughly enjoying her most recent purchase. I had no idea what a bargain it was when I picked it up for a mere $30. Pictures are here:

  • Typewriting

And typewriters are great for writing, not just decorating: they're reliable, private, nondistracting, and fun!

  • Type

Typewriters represent so much to so many people. They are just cool machines that have an unexplainable energy. So much goes into this complex machine that appears so simple. Take one completely apart (as I did as an art piece) and you might start to understand. They can contain every emotion put into words from the most mundane, to the most intense. Pick up a new one, then pick up an antique and you will feel what I'm typing about!!!

  • Antique Typewriters

I love antique typewriters. I have a Royal (I'm guessing from the '40s), purchased on ebay. Always looking for more. It's nice to know there are others out there that appreciate "old school." :-)
