Do you like this?

Do you run red-lights while driving in Fairfax? You may want to start smiling while doing so, because the City of Fairfax is reintroducing cameras at two intersections to catch drivers who think red means go.

The two intersections will be Fairfax Circle, and University Drive and North Street, two of the busiest—and, according to City of Fairfax Police Sergeant Dan Grimm, most dangerous—in the city.

Cameras will begin snapping speedsters from July 1. Violators will receive just a warning if caught in July, but a $50 fine from August 1 onwards. All red-light runners will receive a complimentary photographic souvenir of their own stupidity.
