getting out in nature always helps you put things into perspective

Easier
Thoreau-ism is able to pop up more occasionally now that our kids are out hiking on their own. It's tough when family opportunities and obligations are so numerous and spread in so many directions. Thanks

I had the same thought, with a similar excuse. I mean, why NOT? Wake up on a weekday morning and, on an impulse, head for the hills. THAT's living.

Lovely
This reminds me of hikes I used to take on weekends when I was in high school in southern Virginia. It's harder to find the time now that I'm older, with a young family. Maybe I need to make the time, rather than waiting to find it.
