  • Looks delicious!

I've never even heard of quinoa, much less tried it, but this looks delicious--and I'm not even a vegetarian. Will try to motivate myself to try it. Thanks for sharing a delicious looking recipe.

  • It's Hip, It's Happening!

My folks just got back from vacation in the Pacific Northwest and my mom was raving about this weird grain she had at dinner one evening. She spelled it out (phonetically) and sure enough it was Quinoa. I'll have to use your recipe to make it for her as a surprise. Thanks!

  • Looks good, tastes great

Great recipe. I'd tried making various quinoa dishes in the past, but I was never too impressed with the outcome. This dish, however, was a big hit, not only for me and my wife, but for my five year old son. And that's saying something. Whipped up some guacomole and used the quinoa leftovers in vegetarian tacos the next day. Good stuff!

  • Now, this sounds good

I'm iffy on quinoa when it's front and center in a dish, but this looks like it's worth trying.

  • World's Collide!

I smell an opportunity to save our vegetarian friends from the boredom of store bought veggie burgers. To wit, homemade quinoa veggie burgers. I'd add one or two cups of bread crumbs (Japanese-style Panko bread crumbs work very well) an egg or two. Makes sure all the vegetables or chopped fine, combine all the ingredients and mash some of the beans while mixing. Make 4-6 patties. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes. Cook on a pan with a table spoon olive or other vegetable oil. Enjoy!

  • Gotta love quinoa...

Great article! I'm an omnivore, but tend towards a plant-based diet anyway because I just don't like meat that much. Anyway, quinoa is awesome. I'd definitely like to try out the recipe you mention - it sounds delicious (and fairly easy to prepare!)

Look forward to reading more -

  • Sounds great!

I'm a vegetarian and I AM getting tired of having only veggie burgers. I Can't wait to try this instead, or maybe even with my veggie burger. :)

  • Good AND Easy. What more can you ask?

As a vegetarian, I always feel like such a schmuck bringing food just for my family. But meat-eaters are so reluctant to provide anything, since they don't know what's good and "complete". Recipes like this are enjoyed by all eaters and I would be really proud of my friends if I saw this at the buffet!

  • This sounds yummy!

You know...I have been wanting to know how to make quinoa, as well as how to pronounce it! I will definitely try this!

  • YUM!

Great article! I feel like more people would eat this if they knew how to prepare it. I fixed quinoa a couple of months ago and it was disgusting. I've been wondering how to dazzle it up to make it taste delish! I am totally stoked to try your recipe! Thanks so much for this!

  • Looks great!

This recipe looks great and I'm hoping this warm weather holds out so I get a chance to try it at a cook-out! One quinoa tip that's worked well for my wife and me is to rinse it in a strainer before cooking it. This removes any of the residue of the bitter coating that was missed when it was rinsed before packaging.
