  • Great story

Clare considered the sweet, tangy condiment an everyday staple, a comfort food. When she found an old chutney recipe by the famous Southern cook Edna Lewis, she began to experiment and the Virginia Chutney Company was born.

    Really? Great story, indeed . . . .

  • Sweet Fruit + Spicy = Tasty

I'll have to check out their chutneys. Westmoreland Berry Farms (http://www.westmorelandberryfarm.com) sells a Raspberry & Hot Pepper preserve that I enjoy as a spread. After reading your article, I'm inspired to try it as a roast glaze. Thanks!
