  • Peepers

I have a couple of small ponds in my yard and at night you can hardly hear yourself think! I love hearing them in the Spring. They are better than having a watchdog, anything comes around and they immediately stop their music.....

  • The Cacophany of Peepers

Yes, once in early Spring, my husband & I were at the Pamunkey Indian Reservation. As we were leaving just at twilight, an absolute roar, of peepers, came on. It literally made the hair on the back of my neck raise, then it got to where you heard even deeper ones, croak beroap, incredible the beauty of that sound gave me goosebumps of a good kind, ha! That's why we live in Virginia.
