Fairfax Hall

The author took a cheap shot at the Department of Corrections' Academy for Staff Development. The DOC operated the Academy from the late 70's until about 1990. It provided training to a lot more staff than Correctional Officers including Probation and Parole Officers, Counselors, Support Staff and dothers. It provided about 55 jobs to local folks when DuPont and General Electric were downsizing., It spent substianial money locally including investment in the buildings and grounds. Our efforts deserve better.
