Ten films not to miss at the 2011 Virginia Film Festival

  • Larry Flynt

    It should be noted that 15 years ago, Larry Flynt presented the film The People vs. Larry Flynt directed by Milos Forman, at the VFF alongside Reverend Jerry Falwell despite their historical differences. The film will screen again Friday night at 8:15 at the Culbreth, and Flynt will be in attendance via the Thomas Jefferson Ctr for the Protection of Free Expression. I'm all for the First Amendment and didn't mean to exclude Flynt from my coverage. Unfortunately there's just too much juice in this festival, that's why there's a program probably on every street corner at this point!
